HOA Meeting Notes & Election Results December 15, 2016

ELECTION RESULTS     

The board would like to THANK all those who stepped up and ran for the board. We have had years where we could not even fill all of the seats, so this is amazing that we have so many owners who wish to get involved!!

Additionally, the delay in posting the results is due to us researching & discussing the best way to handle a board member who is moving. Robert has been a HUGE ASSET so the board & will still own property in Village Grove, but due to his not being here (eventually) on the day to day, he has offered to step down since we just had an election.

Therefore, your 2017 Village Grove Board of Directors (based on all votes collected on or before 12/15/16) is:

Meeting with Owners

During the meeting owners suggested several items to improve the complex.  Including:

-Repairing the wrought iron gates at the front entrance.(vendor contacted for quote)

-Dead vines along the exit at the back of the complex near garage door be removed.(vendor asked to remove& to weed the front better)

-The exit sign on the drive through gate at the front of the complex needs attention.(Ron is fixing this weekend)

-Pool gate locks are not latching which could result in a lawsuit.(Ron notified & will work to repair)

-There is uneven concrete in front of the townhomes on the west side of the complex.(will get quotes)

-Stucco needs repair throughout complex.(plan to roll into townhome painting project)

-The meeting minutes on the website need to be updated.(Robert will still manage & update)

-It was requested to remind owners what they are responsible for in their units, specifically the wrought iron inserts and gates in the townhouse patios.

-Timer switch on spa needs to be replace due to it sticking and remaining on all night.(pool guy notified)

-Requested that we NOT add more flowers to Centralia St until presented to owners as money need to go on more foundational items

-The workers of Brittany House are being loud at late hours disturbing residents on the west side of complex. (Barry reached out to manager – again)

-There was a request to create an owner’s guide to the complex showing things like shutoff valves.(cannot post to website as requested as website is not protected & anyone can access)

-There is a problem with the dumpster in the alley not being replaced with a completely empty one.

-A suggestion was made to institute an additional fee to owners moving in or doing construction to pay for an extra trash pick-up.

-Need to put a sign up in the trash areas to remind people to break down boxes and not overfill the dumpsters during the holidays.

-Maggie said that she knows which real estate lock boxes can be removed at the front entrance and Ron can be called to cut them off. (in the works now)

-Several people said there are cracks in the underground parking lot and some leaks that are leaking on cars.

Residents can use the Go Long Beach App to report dumping of illegal items, graffiti, potholes and dead animals.

-Requested to have residents replace pool area furniture where they found it.

-It was mentioned that individuals renting the clubhouse do not have exclusive rights to the pool area and still must vacate the pool area after 10 pm.
