Minutes from Village Grove HOA Board Meeting
Thursday, November 5, 2020
- Meeting started 6:25 PM
- The board reviewed the budget. Village Grove will have enough money to pay the bills for the upcoming month.
- News shared about Alyceanne’s cat passing away. A condolence card will be sent from the HOA board.
- The need to increase HOA dues was discussed; $0, $15, $25 or $40. Taking the pandemic into consideration, the board voted unanimously to only raise the dues $15, bringing the overall amount due to $400/month.
- Village Grove’s bills for water, gas and trash all increased significantly. Possibly due to more people working from home, more members in households, pond hoses being left on accidentally)
- Pond bills decreased (as planned) and plumbing bills decreased
- Gate expenses were high, but needed to be done for safety. New mesh looks awesome!
- Safety concerns about the ramp area outside the planter box was brought up and will be addressed ASAP.
- Concerns regarding the water pooling at the base of the area outside of the planter box were brought up and need to be addressed ASAP.
- Residents with filthy garbage piled in their viewable area need to get letters and later fines if they do not correct the infraction
- HOA board elections are upcoming. Tammy is running, but Maggie and Barry are not.
- Signs needed regarding not leaving packages in guard shack and putting condo packages by condo mailboxes instead of townhome mailboxes
- Next HOA board meeting: Tuesday, December 1 at 6:30 PM (or earlier to help with chairs)
- Next HOA homeowner meeting: Tuesday, December 1 at 7:00 PM
- Sign needed to announce HOA homeowner meeting
