Minutes from Village Grove HOA Board Meeting

Friday, August 6, 2021

  • Meeting started 6:00 PM
  • In attendance:  Tammy, Dorian, Stephanie, Sid and Bill
  • Dorian contacted Alyceanne re: drainage project updates
  • Still waiting on report from engineer (he contacted Alyceanne re: delay because he is very backed up) – If we don’t hear back soon, Dorian will reach out to him again
  • Landscape Committee wish list reviewed – uplights by front door entry (safety first) and then ground cover are first items on to-do list
  • Dorian will contact Charlie at Crown regarding quote for uplights
  • Walk-through needed with gardeners (hedge falling by wall outside of 5445, 5443 needs plants replaced, start seeding the front grass area again, aerate the soil by tree, fix the “running mud” stream that clogs the drain in pool area, corner areas by THs, ask about front walkway options/ideas, mulch ground cover, etc.)
  • HOA board needs to reach out to Andrea regarding losing her rocks (update:  Sid contacted her that night and she is cool with it)
  • Bill will research different mulch options with recycled tires, and get a few samples
  • Unit #9 fixed the blinds and door
  • Wood is next big project we need to do
  • Unimpressed with carpet rep, so when we replace the condo carpets, a different vendor will be used (possibly Aames Floor and Mold Control in Signal Hill, 562-989-3636)
  • All agreed to begin all HOA Homeowner meetings with the financial report
  • Reviewed who was behind in their dues
  • We need to send a picture of the broken pipe by front entrance to be fixed
  • Tammy shared reasons why switching to key fob entry would not be a good idea
  • Gutter covers are too expensive, but possibly do-able for just small areas of concern
  • Birds by unit #23 need to be addressed ASAP
  • TV in clubhouse needs to be donated if it works or thrown out if it doesn’t
  • We still need to find someone to do VG calendar/website (and hopefully be able to transfer the minutes/info)
