Minutes from Village Grove HOA Board Meeting
Tuesday, January 5, 2021
- Meeting started 5:30 PM
- In (virtual) attendance: Tammy, Dorian, Stephanie, Sid and Bill
- The new board members were welcomed and the new board voted on positions for the 2021-2022 VG HOA Board of Directors. By unanimous vote:
President: Tammy
Vice President: Bill
Treasurer: Dorian
Secretary: Sid
Maintenance Manager: Stephanie
- Vote taken on purchasing one or two ADA compliant trash intake doors (only one is needed at this time, but a second will eventually need to be purchased in the future). Vote passed 3 – 2 with Dorian, Stephanie and Sid being in favor of buying both doors now.
- Ponds discussed (the pump, the dwindling # of fish, etc.) Pond Doctors-we will have a walkthrough with them (all board members are welcome, but don’t all need to be there). Tammy will set this up.
- Gardeners-need a gentle reminder of our expectations. We will have a walkthrough with them (all board members are welcome, but don’t all need to be there). Dorian will set this up.
- 2 patios still need to be cleaned up. Sid will check to see if they have been cleaned up at all. (checked after the meeting-they were not)
- Having the greenery match everywhere in the complex was discussed. The area by 5453 has plants that do not fit with the VG theme. This will be fixed after the foundation project for 5477 is completed
- 3rd quote still needed for 5477 foundation project
- Shoes outside your front door/entry: must look neat, limited to two pairs of shoes, and must be situated where they are not a trip hazard.
- Air BnB, VRBO, etc.: we need to investigate what we can do to prevent these in VG
- Wires exposed in front. Sid will send pics to Tammy and Tammy will contact Rick about fixing them.
- Ricks’ work hours need to be double checked.
- New signs by pool gates need to be created and hung. Sid and Stephanie will do this once board agrees on which signs should be posted.
- Lock on pool gate still there and needs to be removed.
- Water on carpet in garage: ask porters to be aware of how much water they are allowing to cascade over the stairs when they clean (the mildew smell is terrible)
- Welcome letter for new residents (part “welcome to the community” and part “advising them of work hours, trash/recycling info, dogs on leash, etc.”). Sid will create (very) rough draft and share with the rest of the board to add info and edit
- HOA info will be posted to Village Grove Facebook page
