Village Grove HOA Meeting Minutes

Board Members present: Tammy, Sid, Barry, Dorian and Maggie
HOA Members present: Karen & Don – 5455, Andrea – 5425, Kathy – 5439, Iris – 5429, Ralph – 5451, Michael – 5437, Dennis & Elsa #18, Frances #22, Andrea #11
*Election for new board members was discussed and ballots collected. Results have been posted, Sid and Dorian re-elected. Barry, Tammy and Maggie have 1 more year of their 2 yr term.
*Update on flooding on Thanksgiving and a big thank you to the board for all that they did. Ponds, pools & spa had to be lowered, drains cleared on a regular basis, some flooding in garage, (note garage sump pump has delay to start), leaks in a few units and leaking in the clubhouse.
*Iris from the landscape committee did a walk thru with the gardeners, trees have been trimmed, one had to be removed, asked for better job weeding & clean up, better care in front and blow the street. Getting quotes on rose bushes and bark in back and for tree by pond that has not been replaced. West side is finally done. Andrea questioned no curb on the side, said it will be addressed in next drive replacement.
*Speed bump still deteriorating, want to have sealed, Danny to do. To Alyceanne. Request to post sign to slow down on west drive.
*Lights are on going, Kathy’s is still out by her garage door. Request to turn on earlier, especially garage, 4:30 pm. Research solar next year.
*Volunteers were recruited to hang holiday lights. Thanks to all who participated.
*Leak in garage fixed and recent break in in 1 car. Please be on the look out.
*Fence repaint & repair has been started (not with holiday lights on), pool filter has been replaced, spa has about 1 yr left. Guardshack has Realtor bar for lockboxes. No dues increase for 2020 per budget analysis. Quotes to get for upcoming work, spa & pool replaster, filters, elevator. Life expectancy on these coming to an end.
*Still need volunteers for architectural committee from condo’s. Kathy would like to join Eric from townhomes
*For 2020 wishlist, tile roofing on townhomes, locks redone (get quote for keyless), plugs by pool to be in working order, get quote on dry sauna to have cleaned up and repaired, along with working instructions. Front lighting quotes. Like the large ones on Montair.
Follow up on additional trash bin on alley.
Misc:
Would like 4th of July breakfast again this year. Asked HOA members to contribute, not just board members.
We have about 10 rental units in community, want to watch number. FHA approval was redone for this year.
